UPDATE 2: I found the solution, the issue was corupted files after all. C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Control Panel Client dont show any files. my driver is now updated but the problem now is i dont have acces to nvidia control panel, its nowhere found. UPDATE: i managed to install the latest driver by letting the geforce exeperience do its instalation and fail, then i when to device manager, display adapter to manualy install the extracted files from the failed driver instalation. It is just really frustrating because everting was working fine like a month ago and i hope that someone is able to help me with this issue. It never started scanning even after like 30-45minutes.Īs a last resort i just reinstalled windows 10 in hope it would fix some corrupted files but even reinstalling windows 10 the issue persist. Then i did the command dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealthĭism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth. I did sfc/scannnow and it found corrupted files but was unable to fix it. I rebooted my PC after entering command chkdsk\f :C in command promp. I let windows do the driver update and the instalation fails with a error code:" I read somewhere that this will change after windows update. when i go back to display adapters it shows "microsoft basic display adapter". It worked first but nvidia control panel wasn't installed on my PC so i tried to fix that and then i was back to start.

After that the installation started and finished with the message " GTX 1060 6gb has been installed". i selected "search computer for driver software and selected C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\388.71. Then i tried to manually install it by going to device manager and right clicked display adapter to select update driver. I dowloaded the latest driver from the manufacture website NVIDIA and tried to install it this way, which also failed.

Halway the instalation i get the message that the installation of the driver has failed.Īfter the failed installation i removed my old driver by using Display Driver Uninstaller in safe mode and rebooted my PC.

Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10 homeĬPU: Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-3450 CPU 3.1 GHzĪ few days ago i tried to install the newest nvidia driver that was available through geforce experience.
